We love building apps that users actually use and that make a nice ROI for the publisher. Our main focus is on time-to-market. We design, develop and release apps to the app stores just 2 months after the initial briefing by focusing on the one awesome feature of the app - and not the million "also cool" features. We fill our apps with analytics and A/B testing tools and iterate with monthly releases to improve our products based on data - rather than the "hippo" (highest payed person's opinion).
That shows in every detail of our work: from the quality of our code, the design of our user interfaces and the scalability of our systems.
We are 40 of the most driven and product focused designers, developers, project managers and supporters from all over Europe. We work in 12 different countries, everyone remotely from their homes, most as freelancers. At stanwood, there are no boring office meetings, no administrative tasks. Just a whole lot of coding supported by Slack and Jira.
Our Exciting Journey
Stanwood has 9+ years of experience in app development and mobile publishing. It started in 2009 with our first mobile TV Guide ON AIR, which up until today is one of the most successful mobile TV guides in Germany. Since then, Stanwood developed over 50 native iOS and Android apps for customers like ProSiebenSat.1, Condé Nast, Bertelsmann, Jaguar & Land Rover, etc. In 2015, the FUNKE Mediengruppe, Germany's third-largest magazine and newspaper publisher, acquired 33 percent of Stanwood.
